Adventist Men In Andros

June 4-6, 2004

Adventist Men On the Move

Adventist Men's Ministry on the Move With an army of 12 apostles, the men's ministry joined four VBA members in North Andros this past weekend. The mission was threefold:

  1. To examine God's mission and purpose for God's men in the church;

  2. To minister in music and witnessing thus strengthening the District;

  3. To further advance the completion of the Lowe Sound Seventh-day Adventist Church that has been under construction for the past 15 years.

The men met on Friday evening and listened attentively as Pastor Paul detailed from God's word the importance of men knowing and understanding their purpose. On Sabbath morning, Sabbath School was led by Kendal Curtis and Harrison Moxey. At the Divine Hour, lay evangelist, David Williams declared the word, and the men's choir ministered in song.

The afternoon brought a sumptuous North Andros meal, followed by a one hour marriage seminar, an hour health seminar, and the Adventist men's concert which "brought the house down."   On Friday the Adventist men, led by Howard Barr, laid some five hundred blocks and began pitching the roof of the Fellowship Hall and Pastor's Vestry. Although the work taxed our strength and endurance, we look forward to returning to complete the job soon. Pastor Paul A. Scavella
