sustaining and awesome presence. Be anointed, blessed, comforted,

Alrick DeMontaque (West Indies
Union Conference Resource Center):
He is Gone
You can shed tears that he is gone,
Or you can smile because he lived,
You can close your eyes and pray that
he will come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all
that he has left.
Your heart can be empty because you
can't see him
Or you can be full of the love that
you shared,
You can turn your back on tomorrow
and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow
because of yesterday.
You can remember him and only that he
is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let
it live on,
You can cry and close your mind be
empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what he would want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
To the Albury's Family, I sense the
numbness that you are experiencing at this time but please know that I
am praying for you and i hope the words of this poem will inspire you
in some way.

Pastor Lynden Williams
(District Pastor, Eleuthera, Bahamas): I will remember Pastor Albury
best for his visionary leadership, and daring to think outside the box. As
a young intern in Eleuthera, he encouraged and guided me, so that I would
avoid some of the pitfalls that were coming my way. He was a practical
man,
and walked with Kings, but could relate to beggars. I will long remember
the theological debates that he referred among us as ministers, and his
contagious sense of humor at the end of the discussion. Despite his
academic achievements, he was willing to listen and learn from those who
were not as well qualified as he, and would give credit where it was due.
His ministry in Eleuthera has impacted many lives, and he will be greatly
missed. To Ann and the rest of the family, Jackie joins me in
mourning the loss of a colleague, brother and leader. I encourage you to
cast your care upon an all loving, all wise, compassionate Saviour,
because "he cares for you." May his memories linger on. |
| Emily Knowles
(Bahamas): Dear Sis. Ann, please accept my deepest condolences on
the passing of Pastor Albury. He was really a man for all seasons.
His death has left me crying because it brought back the memories of the
death of my husband Bro. Ed - gone so young - only one year
difference in age at their death. The Lord is able to keep you and
yours in perfect peace. He promised never to leave us alone. I know it is
hard. I know there are questions that we need answers for, but we will
understand it better when Jesus comes. Be strong in the Lord and He will
see you through. My prayers are with you and the rest of the family. |
|

Ellissa “Lisa” Minnis
Mwesigwa (Berrien Springs, Michigan): Words cannot express
the sadness I feel today for you. We have truly lost a great
Bahamian son, a great leader, preacher, evangelist and visionary.
Pastor Albury was the change agent for so many initiatives
including, church and conference building projects and evangelist
efforts. He served his family, church and nation with such great
professionalism, passion and commitment. He dedicated his life to
the church from his youth and forged forward against all the odds,
turning each stumbling block into a stepping stone. In particular I
express my love to his parents, his siblings including his sister
and my best friend Wendy Albury Butler, my heart Mrs. Fanette
Albury, Mrs Ann Albury, Anson, Brenden and Alden and all other
relatives and friends. Pastor Albury was supported, nurtured and
encouraged by a special brand of women. His mother, sisters and his
loving wife are a special and unique blend. These special nurturers
along with his father, brother and church family helped him to be
the great person that he was. His sons can be proud and can hold
their head high for the gift such a great mentor. Father Jesus will
comfort you, lead you and guide you until you meet him again. Our
President, Pastor, Mentor, Leader, Father, Husband, Brother, Friend
is simply resting and though gone, he will never be forgotten, not
in our hearts or memories.

| Clive & Debbie Campbell (Canada):
Please accept my regards. We are sadden to hear about the death of Pastor
Albury. Please convey our greetings to his wife and family. We ask Gabriel
to bring him back, however the angel said you must wait until the second
advent when the dead in Christ shall arise to meet the Lord in the air.
Death as robbed us of a father, a husband, a great worker. But as
Adventists we look beyond the grave. So to his wife and family cheer up!
Song 214 We have this hope. |
Harvey Braithwaite & Family (Bahamas):
I t’s
with painful heart that I write this note after being informed of the
passing of your dear husband and father. Indeed he was a man of God, a
man of vision, a leader well loved and respected by many in this country
and those who came to know or learn of him. He will be sadly missed by
all of us in the Bahamas Conference.
As you go through this dark
valley, have no fear for God is with you. The Psalmist David declared
that, “God
is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore
will not we fear……..”
This same God has made us a promise, a promise that gives us hope. He
says in John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in
God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many
mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a
place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I
will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye
may be also.”
We have this hope
in the promise that He is coming again.
Hebrews 10:37
– “For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will
not tarry.” He has promise us that at his coming the dead in Christ
will rise first. At this time we would be reunited with our loved ones.
We
must remain faithful to God and to His course, abounding always in the
love of Christ. I say to you all, “Be strong in the Lord and in the
power of His might.”
He
has left us a peace that passes all understanding, a peace that this
world would never know or understand. With this peace although the
storms of life are ragging all around you, there is still peace in your
heart, because Jesus is in the vessel. Luke 14:27 “Peace
I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth,
give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be
afraid.”
Be

all comfort would keep you ever in the Hallow of His hand.

Pastor Dr. Newton U. Cleghorne (Youth
Ministries Director Northeastern Conference of Seventh-day
Adventists): On behalf of the over twenty-six thousand youth of
the Northeastern Conference here in NY City and my wife, Neslin, I
wish, with a chocking sense of reality, to express my deepest
condolence at the passing of my batchmate and Pastor of my graduating
class of 1979, President Dr. Keith Albury. I spoke to Ann, his wife
this morning and prayed with her and expressed words of condolence.
Ann and children, I pray that strength and comfort will be your
experience at this time. Dr. Albury was an inspiration to all of us.
He was focused on assisting in the finishing of the work of God in the
Bahamas and throughout the West Indies Union and beyond. His passing
is a sobering reality of the brevity of life and the humaness of man.
Like the poet, "Lives of great men all remind us, we can make our
lives sublime and departing leave behind us footprints on the sand of
time." The life of Dr. Pastor Keith Albury will be indelibly etched
on the canvass of life. Rest on my friend, Keith, the morning of the
resurrection will soon break to an immortal bloom.

Protector, your Comforter, your Counselor, your Constant in the chaos,
your Source of strength", your Refuge. May this period of pain and
adjustment bring you closer to God. We continue to pray for you.

Tyrone and family:
Dear Families (Albury, Brennans and other related) It is with deep regret
that I write you on the passing of your husband, father, son, brother,
uncle, and my family’s friend. You know, as I do, that Keith has been a
close friend to Denny, Greg and me for many years; going to GHS, selling
magazines, and getting into little trouble at times. Even though Keith was
more ‘in set’ with Greg and Denny, we spent time singing in ‘The Advent
Singers’ and in church generally, and I recall when he left for WIC, when
he and Jeff did the ‘dual’ preaching style in Grants Town, I was an usher
in his wedding, and so on. As you know, he had an avid interest in real
estate and a few years ago he appeared on my doorstep, informing that a
rogue company was attempting to claim title to many properties in Westward
Villas, mine included; I have fond memories of Keith, his smile, his laugh
( I believe that we called him ‘rubber’ when we were young because he
seemed so tall back then) He has accomplished so much so young, leading
and achieving and inspiring. He has blessed us all. I, along with my
family grieve with you, for we all have lost. Corinna and my kids and all
of the family, Denny, Greg, Charisee, Fernella, mummy extend our deepest
sympathy, and know that God will comfort you during this time and for
times to come. We will see Keith again |
| Raymond, Terry & Thea Antonio
(Nassau, Bahamas): Words cannot adequately provide comfort at this
time of great loss and sorrow. But we do know that our Heavenly Father
can provide the solace, support, love and peace that is need at this
time. We commend you to His love and care, and are assured that He will
be all that you need, and more. Pastor Albury provided great support
and encouragement to our family, and to the wider Bethany Adventist Church
family. His leadership provided great encouragement and support, and he
will truly be missed. We can all take comfort in the words of our Lord and
Saviour found in John 14:1-3. You will continue to be in our thoughts and
prayers. |
Seymour, McCartney &
Wilchcombe Family (Freeport, Bahamas) We express our sincere
condolences to you Sis Ann, sons, and the entire Albury Family. Know
that our thoughts and prayers are with you. We know that God will
continue to hold you in the hollow of his hands. We love you.

|
Pastor and Mrs. Seymour G. Cole:
May God be with you all during this sad time in your experience. Dear
Ann, we remember you so well when we served in the Bahamas during the
early 70's. Please take as a source of comfort, the passage found in
Isaiah 43:2, 3a, "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with
thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou
walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the
flame kindle upon thee, for I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of
Israel, thy Savior."

Coordinator (NCU) Freshman Advisement & Recruitment:
Death Is Nothing but a
Moment's Rest
Death is nothing but a moment's rest
Until the Second Coming of the Lord
When He shall gather to Him of the best
To take them to the place of their reward.
I've felt the power of Jesus in my soul
Shining like a golden sun within,
Melting my hard heart to make me whole,
Burning out the remnants of my sin.
I've felt Him work within me, so I know
The glory that will come when I awake.
I'll sleep just like a child who'll homeward go,
And in my dreams of love great pleasure take.
So do not mourn my death, and do not grieve.
The Lord will come for me: This I believe.
Mamma Albury, Brother's Anson, Alden, and Brendon, I love you all and
Laverda and I are going to be lifting the roof in prayer for you that God
will help you mourn. Pastor Albury, or "Pops" to me, was like a father to
me, because I grew up without knowing what it was like to have one. He
treated me like a son under his wings, giving me advice, and monitoring my
progress, and making sure that I was doing just fine. I thanked him
while he was alive for being that father figure to me, and now I thank
you, the family for being that family that I never knew existed. I am so
sorry that we no longer have Pastor Albury with us today; but I praise the
Lord for we will see him tomorrow! |

a very close bond as he served out his internship at the Centreville
Church while I was serving as Head Elder, and Pastor Roach was the
then pastor. I watched his development and ascendancy with cherished
admiration, as I was convinced that the Lord had laid His hands upon
him, and had ordained him for Gospel Ministry. Many have been brought
into the faith and received a saving knowledge of our Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ through his public ministry and campaigns. He has left
you a great legacy, and has passed the "MINISTERIAL BATON" to you, to
continue the race, and to take up where he left off. God has given you
his speaking voice, and many of his mannerisms. The Holy Spirit will
fit you for the task. Just HOLD ON and BE FAITHFUL, because God has a
great work for you to do. To Sister Ann I say: God knows what you are
going through, and has promised in his word not to burden us with more
than we can bear. He will provide you with enabling power to bravely
and confidently face the days, weeks and months ahead. Please rest
assured that my family and I will keep you and your family in our
prayers.

Dieusauver Datus and Family (Nassau
Bahamas): I would like to take this opportunity to extend my deepest
sympathies and condolences on behalf of my family and the Francophone
Church family to yours. Pastor Albury was an inspiration to us in
every sense of the word. His sermons we will always treasure and his
kind words spoken we will always remember. During Pastor Albury's
sermon it was a difficult task for translators to keep up with him
due to his enthusiasm but the Holy Spirit often intervened and the
point got across. Pastor Albury always did his best to help the
Haitian community in all that was needed. Our prayers and thoughts
will always be with your family Sis Anne. Be strong in the Lord and be
of good courage.

Dr. Martin Hanna (Seventh-day Adventist
Theological, Andrews University, Berrien Springs Michigan) My family and
I are praying for you, Mrs. Ann Albury, Anson, Brenden and Alden. Our
hearts are also grieving with you because we value the friendship and
leadership of Doctor Keith Albury. At the same time, we know that your
pain must be much deeper than we can imagine. Only God, who raised Jesus
from the dead, can comfort your hearts. God also grieves with you. More
than that, He will bring Pastor Keith back to life along with all of us
who trust God's grace.

Shaun Brooks I express deep sorrow over
the passing of Pastor K. Albury. He was a visionary, and a role model.
I am well acquainted with his older son and know the family through
him. I pray for one and all and in this tough time, God cares.

Silas Neil Mckinney & Family (Dayton,
Tennessee, USA)
My big brother stood up for me when no one
else would. He was a counselor who sought only the best for me. His
loss is a tragedy to me. As bad as I feel I know it is infinitely
worse for you all. We have hope that we will see him again. God is
sealing his people, and some he must put to sleep to save. So sleep on
brother, until that blessed day when you get to go home.

Arthur, Aniska, Apryl, Trae & Aari Barnett
(Peterborough United Kingdom) Just a short note to extend our condolences
to the Albury family and to let them know that we are praying for them
here in England. We can not always explain why God chooses the path he does
but we are sure that the faith you all have will in some way ease the
pain. For us the pain is also hard Aniska has known Keith all of her life
and I met him when we both entered Government High in 69. We have fond
memories in all facits of his life. He performed our wedding, I worked for
him as my company was contracted by the conference during his presidency
the list goes on. They say only the good die young. Take comfort in that
fact. May God continue to bless and enrich your family |
