Many
are sending their prayer
requests.
We have volunteers who are praying each day. In
addition,
we would like to know
how God has "answered your prayers."
Email
your "answered prayers" (Testimony) so that we can place it on

inspiration to our readers in the Caribbean and around the world.

[July 16, 2008] Unknown: I just wanted to thank God for answered prayers. My husband is doing good and I thank you all for the prayers send up on his behalf. Continue to pray for us as we do the same for everyone. Prayer really do change things. Bahamas
[November 22, 2007] Unknown: Thanks to the many prayer warriors for interceding on my behalf. The past two weeks have been extremely peaceful in my life. It seems that finally folks are beginning to pay attention to the signs of the times. Sometimes it takes a volcano to erupt before our eyes before people will yield themselves to God completely. Look at the news - if what's happening around the globe, including our own little Bahamas, isn't a volcano, Heaven knows what! Pray, saints, that God will pour our His spirit on Adventist homes in these last days. The simple fact is that Jesus is coming soon. The simple fact is we are not ready. "...Leaving those things [behind]... I press toward the mark..." May this be the prayer of each one of us. USA/Bahamas
[June 11, 2007] Mudenda: This is a praise report. Exactly a month ago, today, I submitted a prayer request for God to open a door for my book Spiritual Counsel & Nuggets to be published. Well, guess what! Within three sevens (weeks) the Lord answered graciously. My book is now in print. Let us continue to praise Him. Hallelujah! Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear. United Kingdom
[September 5, 2006] From Olive: Dear Prayer Partners, On August 14th, I requested prayers for a job situation that I am faced with. I am still on that jog in the same position but I and my other associates was taken from under the supervision of that supervisor and placed under the supervision of the controller. God is good! Please continue to pray for this situation. love630 at yahoo dot com
[July 4, 2006] Avery Josil,
a fifteen year old boy and member of the New Englerston Seventh- day
Adventist Church, passed away quietly, on Friday, June 30, 2006, at
8:30 p.m. at the Princess Margaret Hospital. He suffered long
with the HIV virus having gotten the infection from his mother at
birth. I felt impressed to visit him the day before to talk
with him about his soul salvation. He was certain of his
relationship with Jesus. Although he was frail and weak, his
face beamed with hope and peace. His large eyes
reflected how one can have peace in Jesus, even when in pain.
Over the years, Avery spent more time in the hospital than out of
it. During his pre-teen years, when he was not in the
hospital, he would walk to the hospital by himself to get the
treatment and medication. He had a will to live.
A few weeks before he died, Avery had a dream where he saw a glimpse of heaven. He was dreaming he was in heaven. There were many children of all races and ages playing together. He was so in awe, he stood on the side and watched them play. "It was so beautiful," he said. "It was peaceful." Then at that point he awoke. As he opened his eyes, lying on his hospital bed that was facing a window, his eyes fell on a beautiful bird that was sitting on a limb singing a chirping tune. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Then, within a few moments, the bird flew away. It was as though the bird was a part of the dream, just waiting there to provide a ray of sunshine and hope. That day he glowed with radiant joy. He had seen how it could be to be happy and free of a painful disease. Avery was never able to participate actively in the Pathfinder Club at New Englerston. He was always too sick or in the hospital. Oh how he wanted to march in his uniform and join in all the activities! The Pathfinders visited Avery almost everyday in the hospital, bringing him hope and cheer. One month before he died, he sat four exams in the Bahamas Junior Certificate. They were Mathematics, English, Health Science and General Science. We do not know the results as yet. Would you please pray for Avery's sisters and brother who need to come back to Jesus? They were all baptized members of the church, but are now not active. The funeral service for Avery will be on Sunday, July 15, 2006, at the New Englerston Seventh-day Adventist Church, #274 East Street, Nassau, The Bahamas. Officiating will be Pastor Barrington Brennen, assisted by the church elders. |
