Committees and Boards Retreat June 30, 2003

The first Committees and Boards Retreat for the Bahamas Conference and the Northern Bahamas Mission, was held at the Freeport Seventh-day Adventist Church, Grand Bahama on Sunday, June 29, 2003.  The retreat was sponsored by the West Indies Union Conference and the Inter-American Division.   More than 100 board and committee members from the Bahamas Conference (Headquarters in Nassau) and the Northern Bahamas Mission (Headquarters in Grand Bahama) attend the retreat.

The day began with a meditation by Pastor Wendell McMillan, Secretary of the West Indies Union.   Listen to the meditation with Real Audio (23.44 Minutes).  Pastor Patrick Allen then gave a short presentation on the structure of the Adventist Church.   The main presentation was by Pastor Israel Leito, IAD President.  He presented in detail how Conference committees and boards function in the Adventist Church and rules and principles that govern them.
