Joseph Evans, MD
He is truly a medical missionary

Dr. Joseph Evans is truly a medical missionary. He is the leading urologist in The Bahamas and the owner and operator of Bahamas Urology Center located at #9 Winchester St of Mount Royal Avenue, Nassau, The Bahamas.  ( 1-242-325 7838 )

His effervescent personality, warm smile, professional and Christ-like spirit make him an outstanding physician. Dr. Evans' life is dedicated to service. He actively serves not only the community with great medical care but the Adventist Church as well. His missionary spirit compels him to give of his time and talents to better the lives of people in need. As an Adventist physician, he closes his clinic on Sabbaths (Saturdays). However, his heart is always open to serving others. At his home church, the Grant's Town Seventh-day Adventist Church, Nassau, where he and his wife, Ethel, worship weekly, there is a reserved parking place for him. This allows him to experience worship at its fullest and at the same time respond to emergency cases without any obstacles. Dr. Evans is invited to speak often at many conferences, seminars, and professional medical events around the world. He is a speaker-in-demand at many men's conferences in the Adventist Church and other denominations, where he is often asked to speak on male health issues.   His credential include:

  • Graduated from the University of Miami in 1975 as a doctor of medicine.
  • Residency in urology at Howard University.
  • Post graduate medical study at Cook Country Graduate School Medicine
  • Highly specialized training in Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWT) at Medispec Affiliated Hospital, Tel Aviv , Israel.  ESWT is a noninvasive surgical procedure that uses sound waves to stimulate healing in some physical disorders
  • Neurophysiology research at Florida State University.
  • Received the Bachelors in Pharmacy from Florida A & M University.
  • Had a private practice in Miami, Florida for six years before moving permanently to The Bahamas
Celand Gooding, MD, FAAD

He is a "cool" medical missionary.

Dr. Cleland Gooding is a cool, calm, and collected medical missionary. His cool and quiet personality explodes in a positive way when he ministers to patients. A leading dermatologist, he is much in demand and respected across the archipelago of The Bahamas. He is also actively involved in serving the Church and is always willing to share his training and  talents with those who are in need. He will be the health leader for the Centreville Seventh-day Adventist Church in 2008, where he as his wife, Valyncia, and their one set of twins, worship weekly.   ( 1-242-394 3433)

Dr. Gooding is a senior medical officer in the Ministry of Health for the Government of The Bahamas, and he has a private practice in skin, hair, nail diseases at the Family Medicine Center in the Village Road Shopping Center, Nassau. During a given week, he works at two other government medical clinics and at his private office seeing hundreds of patients a week. He is also an associate lecturer at the University of the West Indies. His credentials include:

  • Residency in skin disease at the Princess Margaret Hospital, Nassau, The Bahamas
