Project Family Demographic Survey of Adventist Families in the Bahamas Conference

[Updated November 5, 2006]  The Families Ministries Department is conducting a Conference-wide survey – “Project Family.” Hundreds have already responded.   The purpose of the survey is to gather statistical information of the families in our churches (Must be residing in the Bahamas)  and their social and physical well-being. The information gathered from the survey will be used to help us to know what is the demographic make-up of our churches, to know those whom we are ministering to and meet the needs of all members and families in more fulfilling ways. I am requesting the assistance of all pastors and Church Family Ministries leaders in conducting the survey.    Download and Print Survey Form

You are encouraged to fax or mail your response by December 15, 2006.  Fax:1-242 341 4088.   Mailing Address:  Family Ministries, Bahamas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, P.O. Box N-356, Nassau, The Bahamas.   Or you may hand deliver your response in an unmarked envelope to the headquarter located on Tonique Williams Darling Highway, Nassau, The Bahamas.   Hundreds have responded already.    Remember, do not place you name on the form. 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • The new deadline to turn in survey sheets is December 15, 2006, at the Bahamas Conference
  • Give out the survey at anytime or during a special service that is appropriate for your congregation. It can be filled in on the spot, in a special service, or taken home. If it is taken home, ensure that it is collected.
  • Give the survey to each individual ages 13 and older.
  • Give survey to all regular attendants (baptized or not baptized), not persons who haven’t been to church for more than 2 years.
  • Give survey to the sick and shut-in members (perhaps have someone fill it out for them if they are unable to write)
  • Instruct persons filling in the form that they are not to identify themselves. We do not want names.
  • If necessary, provide pencil or pens.
  • Each church must return the forms in one large envelop.

    NOTE: After the results have been accumulated, it will be shared first with pastors, then church family ministries leaders, and finally, the membership.
