This annual event is sponsored by the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventist Church Women's Ministries and Family Ministries Departments. The theme for this day is "Abuse of Power"

There is a great need in our homes and churches for "intimate Christian touching." There are too many individuals, married couples, single adults, teenagers, toddlers, and infants who are hungry for an understanding warm hug, sensitive listener, and Christian friendship.
- CHRISTIAN INTIMACY IN ACTION
- Social Interaction: A great challenge facing Adventist Bahamians is that there is a limited selection of healthy outdoor or indoor wholesome places to enjoy with family and friends. Unfortunately, there are lots of nightclubs, motion picture theaters and salons. We are blessed with many good restaurants. However the challenge is that there are very few, if any, other place for Christian enjoyment. For example: skating rinks, green parks for family picnics and fun, bowling alleys, etc. Therefore, I am challenging every church to become a place for intimate social interaction. Each church should become a social center, providing table games, outdoor games, relaxation rooms for friendly intimate conversation, etc. The church should also support the government and the community in establishing green places, parks, and outdoor recreational places that Christians can enjoy.
Single for Life: Too often we place so much emphasis on married couples and the married life that we ignore that healthy, valuable contributions of our single adults.
Pre-married Couples: We must place more emphasis on preparation for marriage than on the wedding itself. Therefore, Family Ministries believe that through regular annual pre-married seminars and intense couples counseling, growing couples can better prepare themselves for marriage. A pre-marriage and marriage policy will be establish to guide pastors in helping couples prepare for and after marriage.
Married Couples: At the heart of a healthy community is a healthy family. If the family is health then, the community and the church will also be healthy. Married couples form the basic unit in society for making this possible. Therefore, Family Ministries will have regular marriage seminars, pep talks, workshops, and video series to help married couples become healthy and strong. Family Ministries also encourage the development of married couples clubs as a means of strengthening our marriages and families.
The Golden Years: In the western world, we place more value on youth at the expense of neglecting our senior citizens. Family Ministries want to change that. Each church will be encouraged to create ministries that will effectively minister to the needs of those over sixty-five. These needs are friendship, helping with daily chores, outdoor activities, etc.
