Barrington H. Brennen is an ordained minister of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, a Marriage and Family Therapist, Counseling Psychologist, Nationally Certified Psychologist (USA), a Certified Prepare/Enrich Counselor, a musician and recording artist. He also serves on three national committees: Child Abuse Prevention Committee, Domestic Violence Task Force, and the Mental Health Committee. He also is a member of many professional organizations.
He is a published writer, having written more than 600 articles on issues related to family life, social development and relationships. His articles have been published in local and international papers and magazines including: The Nassau Guardian, The Bahama Journal, Renewed and Ready, Adventist Review, The West Indies Union Visitor, and other newspaper in South Africa, the United States, and Europe.
In 1984, while living on Crooked Island, Bahamas, he founded Sounds of Encouragement (SOE), a ministry dedicated to the restoration of the family though radio programs, seminars and workshops. The theme for SOE is "Helping People Smile Again." He regularly appears on radio and television shows in the Bahamas and have been featured on Three Angels Broadcasting Network.
Barrington is married to the lovely Annick of Martinique. They have been married for more than 30 years and have two children: Marguerite Samuel (teaching a Great Lakes Academy, Michigan) and Gerard (a health trainer and Certified Strength Conditioning Specialist) Annick is a trainer and administrative consultant.
Now at the age of 53, both Annick and Barrington are full of energy, creativity and are enjoying life. They love to spend time together, exercising (especially Annick) writing, cooking, fellowshipping, and surfing the internet.
