Hundreds will travel to St Louis
Although only one delegate will officially represent the Bahamas Conference during the GC Session in 2005, yet more than 1000 Adventists from the Bahamas will travel to St Louis to experience the wonderful events and to witness the decision making process.  Every five years hundreds of Bahamians enjoy going to the GC sessions.  Why?  Because it's a wonderful way of meeting old friends and making new acquaintances.  There are literally hundreds of booths displaying products, services, and goods, produced by Adventists.  Each morning and evening there will be inspirational meetings and reports.  Although only official delegates can discuss or vote during the business sessions, any one is able to sit and listen to the process.   See list of all hotels in St Louis.  There are 60 hotels in the area.  The General Conference booked rooms in 27 of them.  Search the list, make a few calls, and see if you can find one that might have rooms for your family.

  2. Music Festival:  This large concert event will use nationally-known Christian artists to draw up to 20,000 to the UMB Bank Pavilion.  The expected artist include nationally known acts from a broad mix of Christian genres and will also highlight some local talent.  This event will take place on Thursday, July 7
  3. Bible Festival:  This event takes the scenario of thousands of youth handwriting the Scripture, but with a twist.  The Bible rewrite will be a paraphrase, which will take place on the streets and squares of St. Louis involving thousands of Adventist from the Church convention as well as youth from area churches, synagogues and mosques and from no church at all.  Each person will write a portion of Scripture as he or she sees it, putting in in their own words.  The resulting "St Louis Bible" will be presented to the city of St. Louis as a gift.
