had always wanted pets. Around Easter time, the Peters family
had gotten hens because Kelly’s brother Mike was allergic to
dogs and cats. The hens had to live in a specially designed coop
to keep them warm and safe. Too much cold could kill them. I had
seen pictures of the hennies when they were chicks.

explores the Impact of Nurturing on Member-retention
News from NCU Pastor Mullings’ research sought to
determine the relationship between nurturing and the retention
of members in the church. He argues that while efforts on the
battlefield for Christ intensify, the church must also intensify
its efforts to further develop its nurturing program. The
program seeks to create a supportive environment for prospective
members, the newly-converted and more recent members, so as to
minimize the loss of members from the church

It’s Vacation B ible
School Time Again! After a school year of hard work,
children look forward to a relaxing, invigorating and fun-filled
summer
vacation. It's the time for family vacations, visiting friends
and loved ones, reading a book, and of course, Vacation Bible
School. Each year a Vacation Bible School workshop
is held within the first or second quarter to train and educate
the leaders in the Children's Ministries Department and others
in our churches on how to effectively and enthusiastically
conduct exciting, enriching, and spirit-filled Vacation Bible
schools in their respective churches. This year's Vacation Bible
school program is entitled "Crocodile Dock", "Where Fearless
Kids Shine God's Light." Each day the children will learn more
about Jesus through the inspirational Bible points, incredible
Bible stories, memorable Bible verses and unforgettable Bible
memory buddies.
