Presidents Leadership Summit in
Nassau
Conference and Mission Presidents from the West Indies and Caribbean Unions
attended a leadership summit at the Nassau, Bahamas Hotel March 24-29, 2003. The
guest speaker for the summit was Pastor Harold Lee, president of the Columbia
Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. The 27 leaders were
offered information and innovative ideas to enrich their leadership
ministry. Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, British Virgin Islands,
Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Montserrat, St. Kitts-Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent
and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, United States Virgin Islands,
and the islands of Saba, St. Eustatius, and St. Maarten in Netherlands Antilles;
comprising the East Caribbean, Guyana, North Caribbean, and
South Caribbean Conferences and the Grenada, Saint Lucia, and Suriname
Missions. The team of ministers were lead by the President of the
West Indies Union, Dr. Patrick Allen and the President of the Caribbean Union,
Pastor Troteman.

- On March 27, 2003, Mr. Melvin Lewis, Bahamas Conference Treasurer, was sworn
in as a Justice of the Peace in the Bahamas. He was sworn in by
Chief Magistrate, Vera Watkins. He joins other
Adventist pastors and leaders who serve in this position. We congratulate
Mr. Lewis
