Adelma
Penn Called to the Bar
On Friday,
November 3, 2007, Adelma Penn, a member of the Maranatha Seventh-day
Adventist Church, Nassau, was called to The Bahamas Bar. Adelma Penn
is a registered dietician and an administration in the area of public health
for the Government of The Bahamas. A few years ago she felt the need
and call to enter the legal profession. We are happy for Adelma.
She joins scores of other Adventist lawyers in The Bahamas and more that 950
lawyers practicing in our country.
Missing
Adventists Still Not Found
On Sunday, October 21, 2007, two
Adventist men, Jerome Brown and Perry Bain, who fished as a hobby, went
fishing outside Nassau Harbor and have not returned home since. They
are members of the Grant's Town Seventh-day Adventist Church. It
is believed that during the night their little boat was struck by a large
boat. The official rescue organizations have searched the waters
of the harbor and area waters and have found no signs of the two men.
Although the official search has been called off, the family members
continue to look out each day for some clue to being closer or in hope of
the two men still being alive. Jerome Brown is the husband of Hermia
Brown, the coordinator of the Bahamas Academy Early Learning Center.
Perry Bain is employed at the Bahamas Environmental Health Services for the
Government. Please keep these two families in prayer.
