Family Life Crusade Preach to the Suffering,
February 18, 2006 Evangelism still ranks among the church's highest
priorities. It's many and varied forms include family life campaigns. This
method of evangelism addresses the hurt and hopes of the fundamental unit of
every society - The Home. As a basic building block, we must give due
attention to the home. Dysfunctional homes produce dysfunctional societies.
Nowhere in the human experience is there more hurt than home life. Hence,
family life campaigns have lasting relevance and effectiveness in these last
days. Indeed, it is the Elijah message of Malachi and the Revelation which has
the power to make broken homes whole. Joseph Parker says, "Preach to the
suffering and you'll never lack a congregation." So get excited! A family Life
Crusade will convene February 18, 2006. Dr. Alonzo Smith from the greater New
York Conference will bring a message of hope to hurting families. -Pastor
Peter Joseph, Crusade Coordinator

Bahamas Academy News Bahamas Academy is
well on its way in making education exciting, applicable and real to our
students. Our teachers are employing methods that are effectively helping our
students to grasp the many concepts taught since September 2005.
Activities have been planned to accommodate the different learning styles of
our students. Recently the Grade 5 students invited the Board Chairman and
Conference President, Dr. Leonard Johnson to reinforce content learned in
their Bible classes. The teachers engaged the students in a simulation
exercise that will be forever etched in the minds of our students. It was a
concrete lesson in the form of a mini church service. In October, the
Grade 5 teachers were on the ball again as they brought the topic of Piracy
alive to the students. You would not only be amused but also impressed by the
students' interpretation of the pirates that they represented. Each student
had to make an oral presentation of a pirate of choice. We encourage you
to stand with our school as we impart skills and encourage thinking that will
help our students to meet the global challenges which are imminent. It is our
desire to achieve these goals and maintain our philosophy…. "to restore in our
students, the image of God." -Joan M. Scavella, Vice-principal, BA
