Preparation For ‘Let God Speak’ Campaign
The final week of preparation for the "Let God Speak" Prophecy Campaign is here, and everyone is looking forward to the opening night. All who attended the revival and instructional meetings conducted by Evangelist Guy Nembhard have been motivated and are committed to giving their full support to the campaign.  See Web Page

This evangelistic program comes at a critical time in our nation. It appears as if the forces of evil have been let loose in the land and are bent on neutralizing the moral and spiritual values in our society. As we observe what is happening, we are reminded of a statement Ellen White made many years ago. She said she was shown "that the cities will be filled with confusion, violence, and crime, and that these things will increase till the end of this earth’s history." – 7T 84 (1902).

Having regard to the conditions that prevail in our land, God’s people must lift up God’s standards for all to see and know what is truth. The thoughts shared by Evangelist Nembhard during the preparation meetings suggest that the Word of God will be presented in a plain and practical manner. However, the effectiveness of the preaching of God’s Word will be enhanced by the positive lifestyle of every member of the crusade team. Brothers and sisters, let us embrace this opportunity to prepare ourselves for service in this important outreach program. Evangelism is spiritual war against the forces of evil, so we need to be spiritually fit.

Although every church member is invited to be a part of the team, only those who are prepared to allow the Holy Spirit to control their lives will fit into plan the Evangelist has outlined. This means that all of us need to recommit ourselves to the Lord, and ask Him to take away those sins that will cause us to be stumbling blocks to those who are seeking to know the truth. We need to humble ourselves and let the beauty of Jesus be seen in us. If every member decides in his/her heart to let the Spirit of Christ direct him/her as he/she works diligently in this campaign, we will see a repeat of Pentecost. Nothing is impossible with God. It is up to us to extend our faith and exert the effort required. God is waiting for us to prove Him. He will honor our faith.

Today, special invitations will be made available to members for their guests. Every member should invite at least three persons to be present for the opening night. Remember to assist your guests to the best of your ability to facilitate their getting to the meetings. If help is needed with transportation, ask the person responsible for transportation at your church to assist you. Each church will be responsible for arranging transportation for their members’ guests.

As we make the final preparations for "Let God Speak" Prophecy Campaign, let us pray for good weather and a good attendance on opening night. Also, pray for the speaker that God will keep him in good health and use him to proclaim His Word with power. - Editor

Dedication of Real Harvest Church On Sunday, August 3, 2003, at 4:00 p.m. members and friends of the Real Harvest Seventh-day Adventist Church gathered at the Church on Pigeon Plum street, Pinewood Gardens, to renew their commitment and dedicate their new Church Building for the service of God. Although only a few months have passed since they were organized as a Church, the Real Harvest members worked diligently to prepare their temporary sanctuary for dedication.

In his message to the congregation, Dr. L. A. Johnson, President of the Bahamas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, challenged them to recognize and fulfill their purpose as a church. He said they were called to preach the word of God under all circumstances, and as God’s people, they ought to be known for their work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope. Pastor Peter Joseph, the Officers and members were commended for their effort and commitment to the progress of the church.

Special recognition and certificates of appreciation were given to several of the members who worked very hard to prepare the building for dedication.

Education Corner (Greetings from the Education Director) At the beginning of a new school year, I welcome all of our parents and students. For many, it is a greeting extended to old friends; to others, it is an introduction and an invitation. To all, it constitutes a pledge of continued efforts to provide the best possible Adventist education for our boys and girls.

Bahamas Academy's reputation and success rest, in large measure, on parental concern and involvement. We seek to afford each student an education that is commensurate with his or her abilities, relevant to our nation's needs, challenging to a degree that will prompt a love of learning, and, most importantly, instrumental in leading him or her into a relationship with Christ. This is no easy task. We need your cooperation and understanding if this year is to provide a profitable and satisfying experience for your child. Our school, from its foundation, has stressed academic excellence. In this there is no compromise or change. I am proud of our qualified and dedicated school administrators, teachers and staff. These lovely persons welcome your concern, and they view education as a partnership between home and school.

Over the years, the spirit and tradition of our school have played a key role in shaping the educational experience. Each class profits from the example and accomplishments of those who have gone before. We have had a tradition of students committed to the idea that the privilege of coming to school carries with it the obligation to do the best they can. It is reassuring to work with students who see a challenge in their potential - to become the best they can.

Throughout the year, if there is anything we can do to help your child; please do not hesitate to call a teacher or school administrator. The unvoiced problem cannot be resolved, as the missed opportunity rarely offers itself again. Our goal remains to provide the best possible education for each student.

We trust that your experience with Bahamas Academy will continue to enhance your faith in Adventist education and that you will find in our school an education for your children that is worthy of your love and concern for them. -Cheryl R. Rolle, Education Director
