Dexter Fernander: Pianist, Composer, Choral conductor and Baritone became interested in the Performing Arts as a result of an excellent program at Oakes Field Primary, Nassau, Bahamas.  Under Ms. Marcella Mallory’s tutelage, he has successfully passed numerous Trinity College of London Music theory and piano forte examinations.  During his college days, he became active in the College of The Bahamas’ Choir under the direction of Mrs. Audrey Wright and the Bahamas National Youth Choir.  Dexter furthered his matriculation in Nashville, Tennessee where he became active in his University’s broadway showchoir, the Men of Excellence Glee Club and the New Direction Gospel Choir.  Additionally, his voice coach. Mrs. Diana Poe encouraged him to become active in Nashville Symphony Chorus which annual presents a tribute concert for the life of Martin Luther King Jr.   Upon returning to New Providence, he became an accompanist for the Youth Choir and the Chorale of Christ Church Cathedral as well as an organist to their Wednesday mid-day mass.   Currently, he is the Director of Music at St. George’s Anglican Church and assist at New Destiny Baptist Church.  This summer, Dexter will release his first recording of arrangements of hymns entitled, “Lord unto you.”
