Family Ministries Special Emphasis for 2008 to 2011

2008 is the Year of the Adventist Man. Men's Ministries	2009 is the Year of the Adventist Teenage. Youth Ministries	2010 is the Year of the Adventist Family. Family Ministries Department	2011 Year of the Adventist Woman. Women's Ministries
They yearly emphases were chosen to place and emphasis on people in very special ways. The yearly emphasis of the Family Ministries Department does not conflict with the overall theme of the Conference. They are also in harmony with the overall theme for Family Ministries: "Reach Out And Touch. . . Changing Lives Through Christian Intimacy." Here are a few ways a church can celebrate the Year of the Adventist Man.
Have a wall of fame (bulletin board) in your local church where an Adventist man is featured each week or month. Life story, photos, etc. can be used Utilized the church bulletin each week to highlight the life of an Adventist Man in your church. Include an Adventist man in a church activity/program/event. Especially the man who is not often used but is a member in good and regular standing. Select a member in good and regular standing to be the "Adventist Man of the Day" for each Sabbath Divine Service, or as often as it can be done. This man should sit in the front bench and is simply be the honored guest or patron of the service for that day. The one chosen is to be recognized in the church bulletin.
